LAGM

ABOUT THE LAB

LAGM develops genetic and multi-omics tools that help in the improvement programs of plants with economic importance (such as sugarcane, rubber, grapes and tropical forage crops), as well as population studies using species of ecological importance in tropical biodiversity (organisms present in Mangrove, Cerrado, Atlantic and Amazon Rainforests).

Among the main tools used are genomics and transcriptomics, such as RNAseq, GBS, ddRAD, BACs (Bacterial Artificial Chromosome), expression networks, genomic selection, GWAS, construction of genetic-molecular maps, gene mapping, genetic-statistical analysis and Bioinformatics. She also develops a research line that studies proteins of Biotechnological Interest: cloning, biochemical characterization and study of the structure and function of proteins cloned from different microorganisms.
